Song of the day: “The Chain” – Fleetwood Mac
Two songs come to mind immediately when I hear the name Fleetwood Mac: Go Your Own Way and Landslide. Without fail, one of these songs will begin playing in my head upon hearing Fleetwood Mac. Clearly, the group has a much more extensive repertoire than those two songs, but those have been seared into my brain thanks to the hours of VH1 I watched in 2nd grade. Weird, but there used to be these channels on TV that focused on music. So 1900.
Formed in 1967, the group is influential the in blues, rock and pop rock genres, and proudly have the 9th best selling album of all time. Not bad, especially considering the group broke into the music scene during one of the most revolutionary decades for popular music.
This one came to me via my second office–gchat. Thanks to Steph for sending this my way!
