Song of the day: “That Should Be Me,” Justin Bieber and Rascal Flatts

FaceTweet it!

Alright, I’m starting something new.  Because my iPod is crying for new music, I’ve decided to take on a new challenge: to discover a new song every day.  Hopefully Pandora can help in this endeavor, but I also hope all of you can give suggestions!  Consider this to be your challenge, as well.  As I find new things, I’ll post them here…then you’ll be introduced to them.  Have a song on repeat that you want people to hear about?  Comment, shoot me an e-mail, send a carrier pigeon or conjure up smoke signals.  I’m not searching for one type of genre–I have hopes of finding a mix.

That Should Be Me – Justin Bieber and Rascal Flatts

Don’t judge me.  I have a secret obsession with ballads and slow love songs.  When I heard Justin Bieber was teaming up with Rascal Flatts for a duet, saying I was skeptical would be an understatement.  How is a small child going to keep up with all that Rascal Flatts has to offer?  Somehow, their voices compliment each others’ and the result is addicting.  (Ps: Is Justin Bieber’s voice lower than Gary LeVox’?  GL’s voice is ridiculously high, but I think we can finally welcome J-Biebs to the beginning of growing up.  I mean, he did cut his signature hair off today…)
